Selena Gomez started her day doing a brief interview on Live With Kelly and Ryan yesterday, and she ended it touching hair in a shower drain, meal worms, and an angry toy bear on The Tonight Show. Gomez was Jimmy Fallon’s guest and victim in his Can You Feel It game, where you try to identify the object you’re touching. Gomez was unfazed about the hair and a little grossed out by the worms. But she had a freakout and cussed on screen when touching the toy bear. (To be fair, it was nibbling at her.)
“I don’t know what the f*ck,” she stammered out before realizing she can’t use that language on Fallon’s show. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” she said after. The moment is a lot to take in; the bear is seriously aggressive, and it’s not like Gomez could see what it was.
Gomez also did an interview with Fallon on the show, where she spoke about multiple unreleased tracks coming out and why she felt comfortable releasing “Lose You to Love Me,” even if people knew it delved into her feelings about her Justin Bieber breakup.
“I think there came a point in my life where there were so many things being said on my behalf, and I found myself protecting people that didn’t really protect me ‘cause I didn’t want to start anything, but I had a right to say my side of the story,” Gomez said. “And I felt like that was so liberating because it almost felt like I had let it go personally, inside of me, once it was out. And that’s the greatest gift, I think.”
Gomez also revealed to Fallon that she has a song called “Boyfriend” coming. “There’s a few other songs that I couldn’t help but want to exist [that didn’t make the album Rare] so I can’t really tell when, but one of my favorite tracks is called ‘Boyfriend’ so I can’t wait for people to hear that one.” That’s all she said, like a truly good tease:
