Who would have guessed that today would be filled with dragons, persnickety elves, and promises of more adventure in a land as unpredictable as the extent of Merlin’s own magical abilities? Me, that’s who! In looking out my window right now, here in Ontario, it’s as dark and dreary as a haunted forest, and I can smell snowfall on the air. What’s made my day a bit brighter though, is knowing that Matt Groening’s DISENCHANTMENT has been granted a Season 3 renewal at Netflix.

The streaming company released a teaser announcing that DISENCHANTMENT – Part 3 will be conjured onto Netflix in 2020. For those of you who’re unfamiliar with the show, DISENCHANTMENT is the latest animated series from THE SIMPSONS and FUTURAMA creator Matt Groening. The series centers around the fiery princess Bean and her friends, the elf Elfo and the demon Luci, as they travel across an enchanted land in search of adventure. Lending their voices to the show’s eclectic cast of characters are Abbi Jacobson, Eric Andre, Nat Faxon, John DiMaggio, Tress MacNeille, Matt Berry, David Herman, Maurice LaMarche, Lucy Montgomery, and Billy West.
Part 2 of DISENCHANTMENT made its Netflix debut in September of this year. During the sophomore season of Groening’s latest animated smash-hit, Bean returned home to Dreamland, after having left the kingdom at the end of Part 1. While traversing parts unknown alongside her companions, Bean was eventually reunited with her once-petrified, and now rather insidious mother, Queen Dagmar.
When DISENCHANTMENT – Part 3 arrives, the show will no doubt usher us into a variety of strange lands, which are likely to be inhabited by a host of bizarre creatures and otherworldly oddities.
DISENCHANTMENT – Part 3 will venture onto Netflix sometime in 2020.
