Jamie Lee Curtis rumored to have role in second season of The Mandalorian

Production on the second season of The Mandalorian wrapped up earlier this month, and much like the first season, it looks like the next installment of the Disney+ series will feature an interesting group of actors. Last week we learned that Michael Biehn (ALIENS) would be a part of the cast of The Mandalorian’s second season, likely as a bounty hunter, and Jason Ward of Making Star Wars has another interesting casting rumour for us.

According to Jason Ward, it’s rumoured than none other than Jamie Lee Curtis (HALLOWEEN) herself will have a role in the upcoming second season of The Mandalorian. Keep your grain of salt handy, but Ward believes that the rumour is “extremely likely,” although he added that it’s also possible that she could be involved in AVATAR 2, which was also in production in the same general location. While Curtis’ involvement in The Mandalorian is a rumour at this stage, I’d love to see her take part in the STAR WARS franchise. The second season of The Mandalorian will also see the return of Bill Burr, who played the mercenary Mayfield in the first season of the series, and it was revealed earlier this month that Rosario Dawson would be joining the series as well, with all signs pointing to the actress playing Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s former Jedi Padawan who first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Jamie Lee Curtis will next be seen in HALLOWEEN KILLS, the next installment of the long-running horror franchise, and the actress has previously teased that HALLOWEEN KILLS (and HALLOWEEN ENDS) will be digging deep into the trauma of the original John Carpenter film.

What I love that David and Danny and company did is they connected the dots for forty years, now they’re going back to really unpack the first movie, bringing back all those characters whose lives were affected by what happened in 1978… And then the last movie is the sort of cultural phenomenon of violence, that’s what the third movie ultimately is, a very powerful examination of violence.

HALLOWEEN KILLS is set for a October 16, 2020 release with HALLOWEEN ENDS hitting theaters on October 15, 2021.
