AFI’s Motion Pictures of the Year include The Irishman, 1917, Joker & more

AFI, The Irishman, Joker

As we approach the end of the year, we reach that time when we find ourselves overwhelmed by a legion of top-ten lists from all corners of the internet, some of which we may agree with and others which we may not, but they always make for a good topic of discussion. The American Film Institute have unveiled their annual top-ten lists of the best movies and TV shows of the past year, which includes THE IRISHMAN, JOKER, 1917, and more, as well as Chernobyl, Watchmen, Game of Thrones, and more on the TV side of things.

These films and programs have been deemed culturally and artistically representative of this year’s most significant achievements in the art of the moving image, and the AFI Awards is the only national program which honors creative teams as a whole, recognizing those in front of and behind the camera.
